E-portfolio Overview and Funding details for Implementation Trials - 2010

Wednesday, March 31, 2010 09:30 - 10:30

ACPET’s commitment to supporting Australian private training providers includes fostering the development of quality training design and delivery for today’s world.
E-portfolios are becoming increasingly popular around the world as a tool to enhance learning and assist with personal career development. COAG (Coalition of Australian Governments) supports RPL as an important system to solve national skills shortages, as RPL acknowledges prior learning and skills developed outside formal education and training, helping to reduce the time spent in training.

E-portfolios can be developed quickly and easily in the workplace to capture live evidence through the use of mobile phones and point-of-view devices, and can include a range of digital evidence such as audio, video, photographs and blogs.

To find out details of e-portfolios and how they can be used in your training environment, attend our information session, which will cover:
  • What are e-portfolios and how can they be used in the RPL process
  • Capturing ‘live and practical evidence’ using mobile devices
  • The key themes and findings of the 2009 E-portfolio Implementation Trials
  • How to apply for 2010 E-portfolio Implementation Trials funding

The information session will be facilitated by Allison Miller, E-portfolios Business Manager, Australian Flexible Learning Framework – flexiblelearning.net.au/e-portfolios.
