Higher Ed Services extends an invitation to ACPET members attend the annual Finance and Procurement conference to be held at Bond University

Under the theme of Future Proofing Finance and Procurement in Higher Education: Staying ahead of the game, the conference program features a mix of thought leading keynote presentations, case studies from the sector and interactive sessions which explore real life scenarios. 

On day one delegates can expect to learn strategies to adapt to change in Kate Christensen's presentation 'From transactions to transformation: Travelling at the speed of change and what it means for finance and procurement';  hear about Deakin University's ambitious vision for their future and how through digital transformation they are creating competitive advantage to 'stay ahead of the game'; understand how other financial managers go about changing embedded practices, creating sustainable processes and how to communicate simply and effectively with other stakeholders and services in your institution; be educated about the future of transactions and payments and the innovative technology that lies ahead and that will become part of your world; discover why teaching margins are important and how smart use of data can help you make smart decisions and predictions about the cost of teaching and find out what digital disruption means for the future of finance and procurement in the context of higher education.

On day two the focus is on procurement, travel management and finance systems when you will hear case studies demonstrating the benefits of automating the procurement contract management life-cycle; pick up tips about best practice in procurement from Newcastle University and Gold Coast City Council, finalists and winners of the 2016 World Procurement Awards; be comprehensively briefed on the new ISO20400 international sustainable procurement standards; learn about the impact the AUPN/CIPS Procurement Excellence Program is making in Australian universities; understand the key principles necessary when working with e-marketplaces and have the opportunity to work through real life and future travel scenarios in the highly interactive travel management round-table sessions.
