Who should belong to ACPET?

Membership is open to individuals or an enterprise in the field of post-secondary education and training (higher education, vocational and technical education, English language training, schools, foundation studies and pathway programs).

ACPET members do not receive recurrent funding from government departments and agencies, that is, they derive their education and training income from private enterprise or contract work for government agencies.

The aim of ACPET is to enhance the diversity of education and training throughout Australia via independent enterprise and so provide a choice of product and outcome for consumers. Private colleges, education institutes, industry training consultants, education agents, and education product developers are among the many members of ACPET.

As an ACPET member, your annual subscription is determined by your annual turnover in education and training activities. There is a sliding scale of membership fees that must be paid annually on time. You must also agree to abide by the ACPET Code of Ethics, the ACPET Constitution and the ACPET By-laws.

What is Affiliate Membership?

ACPET Affiliate Membership is available to individuals and businesses which are not State/Territory Accredited Institutions, but are still significantly exposed to the Education Sector.

Affiliate Membership confers most of the benefits of ACPET Membership - discounted professional development, networking opportunities, eligibility to apply for a listing on the ACPET Consultants and Advisors Register, and a voice as part of the peak body representing private education in Australia. Affiliate Members are not eligible for ACPET's Tuition Assurance Schemes.

How do I join ACPET?

It is important to read the information kit before commencing the application form.  Please complete the application form and forward to ACPET as per information contained in the document.

Please note an application for Membership, Affiliate Membership or Tuition Assurance takes approximately eight to ten weeks to finalise.
